My Subaru is parked up for the last 2 weeks and i'm driving the almera trying to shift it... so long story short in between srarting her and warming her up, i'm disconnecting the crank sensor as i thought it wouldn't start if someone tried to take it etc..... stupid idea.....

Came home from work and just completely wrecked from weekend, opened car and started it WITHOUT crank sensor connected....just completely forgot... :wall: :wall: :wall:
Brought up engine light.

Car was running sh*t and then realised...
Connected crank sensor started it again... still running bad. :icon_cry:

Tried resetting ECU (disconnected battery for 20 mins)


But still no joy.

Now when u rev car its like it miss fires first....

Engine Light still on... :shock2: :doh:
 
If your car has the black and green connectors ill read the code ash-and ill do a reset with them-give me a shout tomorrow :thumbsup:
 
happened to me recently ash on the m1
passing a car out and bounced of the limiter for bout 5 seconds...
car start running sh1t and engine light came on!!!
just turned the car on and off few times and the light went out ....

not sure disconnecting the battery will reset the ecu????

not on new age using denso ecu doesn't reset ecu.


couple of drive cycles and ecu should learn all ok and go back out itself.
