Hello everyone,
I’ve tried my hardest to figure this out so in brief this is where I’m at…
After market immobiliser disconnected and ran perfectly for 18 months afterwards.
She started first time after winter and then wouldn’t start.
Went through all the electrics as far as I can see all good engine wise.
Got a OBD and 53 Immoboliser fault histroric.
Got a second key cut and she ran for 40 mins on Sunday. Turned on and off several times. Thanks to MacMac. Happy days or so I thought… today she won’t start... Same engine check light normal for two seconds then flashes.
Today OBD says current and historic.
There is a small click from the barrel I’m assuming that’s the barrel anntena connecting to chip in key??
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point please

fook , thought the gremlin was gone with second key , and odd the way it got ye going for a while , then gremlin re-appeared .

coil reader malfunction or loose wire on back of ignition switch possibly .

think it may be time to bring it to someone in the know .

Hello Ross,
Black magic and voodoo and all that 😅🤣 I took the cowl off steering wrack this morning all wires are standard as factory and look in great shape.
I believe the coil reader is functioning properly… but will give it a second look over.
Thank you
