HI Patrick can't say for the 08 model but any drive we ever go on the 1.6ltr's
refuel almost as much as the STi's .................. now part of that might be the manner in which
they where driven :whistle: :whistle:

Well lad,my misses has a 1.6rxi 06,and she gets around 480/500km per tank,now she wont drive it hard,or any of the late braking etc etc,so its not to bad for a 1600 awd car... :thumbsup:
 
I Had a '04 1,6. My missus drove it and it was better on juice than Her current 1,6 focus C-max. despite the 4WD .
 
Cheers guys but that's bout what I can get out of the WRX so not a whole pile of difference there. Would still be saving on the tax and insurance so it's something to think about.
 
I find the 2.0 I have is almost as economical as the 1.6. I used to get 35mpg from the 1.6 saloon and am getting 34mpg from the 2.0 wagon. That's driving easy but also includes a fair mix of driving in traffic.
You can't really compare them with 'x' no of km from a tank because the tank in the 2.0 litre is bigger than than the 1.6. I think it's at least 5 litres bigger.

I would have expected the 1.6 to be easier to sell on down the line but I see my 1.6 is still in the garage in Kerry since I traded it in last August.
