Blain

Middle Lane Hogs
Was thinkin if gettin an impreza if I get my legacy sold,im with liberty but they wont insure sports cars anymore,im 26 full licence 4 years ncb, anyone kno of any gud cheap insurence companys that insure imprezas?

britton insurance can be really good sometimes give them a try, but in some situations they can be worse than most.

blain dont let liberty fill you with sh1t like that,a mate of mine recently bought a 03 blob sti type uk and is with them he just rang up told them he had the car bought, they told him it would be covered right away with a charge of 500 odd euro and he's only 25,seen as you're 26 with 4 years ncb you shouldn't really have a problem transferring onto an impreza

Exact same happened to me, im with liberty, sold the Legacy, rang up sayin the STi is outside, transferred my insurance straight over, cost me a €180 till the end of year and renewal came in cheaper.

yeah that would be the normal thing to do,but, I was in a situation before with an integra type r and had the car bought and ended up parkin it up for nearly a month until I got lucky one day with quinn!,ill try around in the meantime for the laugh! anyways mite never sell the blitzen as ive only had one offer in the last month, and that was a swap for a vauxhall zafira OPC,nice motor but a far cry from an impreza...

Brittons wanted €1200 off me for wrx ( better than last years quote for €2011) and I'm 30 with full no claims!! Ended up getting with axa for under €900 but they wouldn't insure the missus on it cause she is under 30 :ponder2:

From all the brokers and insurance companies I rang axa was the cheapest

24, 6 years ncb, 97 wrx with exhaust, air filter and suspension on the policy and she 21 and under my name 1000

That's nuts smicklywrx, sure it's down as a WRX and not an 2.0 NA?

That's cheaper than my Legacy with only coilovers declared..... Your a year older but still.....

i have to agree with the lads on liberty insurance cowboy attitude .

i asked for qoutes on mx5 when i was 23 with 2 ncb and they told me i have to be 30. bought car and called them to update my policy details. My insurance went up a bit, so i payed 1k eu.

then i asked for qoutes on r33 gtst skyline when i was 24 with 3 ncb and they went "oh jaysus lad, forget about it". So i bought car and called to update policy - 1.2k eu.

Now i called on WRX/STI and heard same old story - you have to be 65 years old with no penis and 5 million ncbs bullshit. :icon_blahblah: Guess what i will do next?

i had the same sh!t! "you have to be 30!!" when i rang up about an S15!

its a risk though! but the car and HOPE they'll let you transfer the policy

go see the car. arrange when you going to pick it up and before giving deposit call insurance and say you bought the car and need insurance at x day y time. ( from time you going to bring the rest of the money and pick up car ) this way you will be 100% sure.

The only thing is its the law, whoever ur insured with have to insure u by law but the have to give u a price so it does b a risk

Well yes that's what I heard, but when I rang up pretending I had a bug wrx outside (was about to go look at one) they said sorry we won't insure you even though I told them I no longer had the car the policy was with (a small lie haha)

Wouldnt mind but whats the deal, they won't Insure me on a 200 break Silvia but they will on a 280 break Legacy worth more

Really gets my goat

For anyone still interested.

I rang insurance before handing in money to billy. Said I just bought a new car and want to update policy details. Insurance went from 500eu on mondeo 1.6 to 700eu on wrx.

I guess I don't need to be 50 years old and with sliced gentleman sausage.
