In need of assistance...

I spotted a nice looking B4 for sale down in Cork but she's just in from Japan so has none of the map/alarm/turbo timer benefits going with it! The crowd selling it are Jim O' Neill car sales who I've had no dealings with before. First of all, I'm just wondering if any of you have opinions, good or bad, on them. As well as that, I am hoping to go down and view the car possibly Friday week as I'm fairly flat out any other day! I'm a little wary of the fact that it has none of the aforementioned goodies and I'm un-schooled in the art of knowing when a legacy is about to go pop! Does anybody here know of any gentleman (or indeed lady) who would be sound enough to come and meet me and give the car the "once, twice, three times a lady" over?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

well im useless to ya anyway ...seeing as i bought one and a few short weeks later i melted a piston... :lolpoint:

but best of luck with it anyway ,all i can say is if you do buy it , dont for the love of god drive it hard until you get it mapped ...
speaking from someone whos been there...

but you wont be disappointed , trust me on that ... they are a cracking car

Yeah, I reckon it'll be tough to ease off the juice until its mapped...I'll have to put a cactus on the pedal and drive barefoot!

Sure that's a great bargining tool,
Get onto one of the traders on here and get a price on decat, panel filter and remap
and knock that of there asking pice!

Depends on the B4.
A decat is not always the advantage you expect unlike the impreza. Andy C B4 is the perfect peach inside out and i'll put my company name on that!

@ Nicknack : Man, you're car is sick and I would gladly take it off you but I cant get near the asking price - my max is pretty set at €6500!

@markobucko : dont worry man - I've been stalking the sh1t outta the legacys on here but , as I said above, I cant really go any higher than €6500 and that really limits my options! Ideally, I'd be looking to trade my integra in against it. I had hoped to take Rob's b4 off him in a trade but there was complications with his insurance on a teg so it didnt work out. I'll keep my eyes peeled on the site though because I would prefer to keep a subaru in the community

Might be no harm contacting some of the lads selling B4's as im sure most are willing
to move a bit on price.

That said where is Jim O'Neil car sales , in Cork ????

Best advice I can give from my own experience is....... Thumb tac on the accelerator pedle and bear foot driving till its mapped.... Also make sure you dont rag it and then turn it off straight away, Always give it a bit of time to cool or your lookin at expensive damage.......

Some of the cars on this site for sale are savage motores and would be more than worth a look....

Take it handy and enjoy the driving.....
