Induction pipe construction?

Collected a silicon induction pipe this evening to replace the damaged standard one that's currently fitted. When I got home and actually opened it I noticed that one of the metal connection thingies is actually flush and not protruding like the others. Does anyone know how these are actually made? Should it be possible to pull the joiner back out a bit? Are they pushed in or sealed/glued in place?

Photo shows the pipe - as you can see, the first connector on the top is my point of concern.

Highly advise replace with new factory genuibe subaru one then that. The cheap silicone ones cause more hassle then they are worth.

And its full manifold off to fit correctly.

But to answer your question. Yes first pipe will pull out. Its for vent on boost solinoid.

eBay. Think it cost about €70 including postage.

Its a relief to hear it'll pull out. Is removing the manifold on these a big job? Would I need new gaskets or are they reuseable?

New gaskets yes. We have at €12.50 each x2

Anyone who advises fit in place and gunter. Should kindly ignore.

i could do with taking my manifold off to re-fit my Perrin as it slips off a bit occasionally. i'd say its a mare of a job to do though!
