Hi all,

I'm hoping to get rid of the other halfs SWB Pajero in the new year as the road tax is just becoming too hard to stomach and it's not the most practical car with the little fella with oinly 2 doors and a small boot.

I'm hoping to get my hands on a 2nd generation N/A 2.0lt Forester (2003-2008) with a manual gearbox. Anyone on here own one and have an opinion on them... or anyone here worked on them or any general info at all on them at all. I know it'll probably be a bit of a gutless wonder in N/A mode... but she's no real interest in the XT and just want's something AWD, estate and no bigger than 2 litre.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Jamie.

extremely reliable car man bit hard on fuel though turbo one would be as good on fuel, a mate had one and loved it

spot on dec,no real fuel difference there, underpowered slug n/a.give a lot of sensor/ignition/secondary airpump bother, people always on looking the same stuff all the time, new bits are mad,but if it was a turbo, most lads have a few sensor bits and pieces hanging round as same as most newage so bits are ten a penny

Cheers lads.... I'm not completely ruling out a turbo one... just figured I'd pick up an NA one cheaper. Gonna have a word with Alan in C&R later in the week as he sourced a sweet black 03 XT for my father bout 6 months back.
