got me fully forged 2.5 engine from ali put it in over weekend got her cranked up drawin some air at the inlet manifold :angry1: any1 every replace the inlet gaskets on a classic scooby the inlet is a pain in the a**e to fit thinkin on bringin it to couture 2moro to get it sorted hope to have it back at the weekend after over 2 months :multijump:

I wouldnt call it hard man, how do you know its drawing air at gaskets and not a hose or vacum leak? im sure Ali would have put new ones on.
If you are lifting the inlet, maybe put an uprated intake pipe on instead of the crap subaru item, handy do it now, all do if you do go big tubo a lot will use 3" entry, so you may have to change pipe again

I think Ali just supplied the bottom end Ken, so no gaskets!
I agree with above, more than likely a loose hose somewhere and good idea to swap out for an after market silicone inlet hose while you are in there!

ali just did bootom end and gaskets for head etc i had the inlet off paintin it cause all the red is flaked off it already have a samco hose for the inlet never taut of gettin new inlet gaskets so its drawin air at the manifold runnin like a pig so it is

Have a good check around before you go to the trouble, just incase its someting simple, are all the breathers piped into inlet hose? or blanked if going to catch can. etc etc

every thin is good piped up ok kinda sounds like its off timing its spittin but ali put new belt on wit the rebuild think my best bet is to get some1 to have a look over it

got it sorted today turned out it wasn the inlet gaskets that i was doubtn myself wit it turned out to be 4 teeth off timing courture auto sorted it collectin it 2moro cant wait :multijump:
