just wondering were would be the best place to get a quote on a wrx i am only 21, i can get insured no prob in a 2.0 sport but once they here TURBO or WRX then its "sorry we are not able to insure you on that vehicle at this time". any suggestions (legal ones)

thanks
Chris

whatever you do dont do it illegal, thers been many discussions on this topic, run an ol' search and youl find plenty of answers

Yep ARB is were i got insured on a WRX
when i was 23 only had 1yr NCB but 3 as a named driver.

Basically they will insure anything, anyone, but expect to pay for it.
I could of bought a scoob for what i payed on insurance.

You will need to go through a broker as they prob will say no
if you ring them. ARB insure, the insurance companies ( can't remember the name
for that) so if you get a broker to say yes they will take on the "risk"

try First Ireland they are a broker and deal with ARB......i have used them before number is 1890 210 310 based on north circular road and leixlip, expect to wait while they answer your call as they are always very busy......also used Glennon who deal with St Paul number is 1890 88 22 33.......excess with both was only 250 euro.

HAHAHAHAHA

The only way i found around this problem of insurance companys sayin no
was to get insured with quinn direct under another car and then buy my impreza.
once you have a policy and have the impreza in your name they have to quote you.
they can can't say no.

This is a serious topic that is going to have to be addressed,Govt. are coming under serious pressure over this, this was discussed on Today FM during the week,Irish insurance companies made somthing stupid like 40 million(dont quote me). They said that a typical young male driver paying 4600 was paying way over the odds, insurance companies were making 2300 clear profit on this.Insurance guy could not defend this, there was no even proof or stats. to say that young male drivers were a higher risk.Like everything else in this sh*t hole of a country we live in its just another organisation relieving you of your hard earned cash.regardless of your age or quote they say that we are all been ripped of by 50%

no doubt about it and this will continue to happen way into the future....what i want to know is why they dont come down hard on the 100,000 drivers with no tax or insurance who drive on our roads everyday....the whole thing is a scam.

Ha ha i was only 23 4yrs ago ye auld gits :nana: :nana:

@ChrisW as said in 1st post if you ring ARB direct they will
say no.................................You MUST go through
a broker.

Niall.
