insurance companies??????

The Insurance companies here are terrible... they have no knowledge of what cars are real 'high performance'

My Insurance doubled when I changed from the B4 to the P1

Alan.

1500 euro by 123.ie. they were the only company that would take me on. 27 on an rb5.

Wana here a funny story.
Im 25 and still drive on my provisinal (test finally on 12th of january after a year waiting) and have been driving a opel corsa for 5 months and was insured on it for 1700, intill a month ago a bought my STI and tansfered the insurance for no extra cost what so ever. That was with Quinn Direct. Couldnt get over it.

You could try XS Direct they will probably insure u just they want 4000 excess on ur policy so dont crash.

your story aint that funny because your smile will be wiped from your face when you renew your policy......most insurance companys dont charge anything when you change your car on an exsisting policy but they do when you renew.

not so in my case. I had to pay an extra 600euro to go from a starlet GT to a type r sti. 10 months later when my renewal came around my insurance went down 200euro. So I wasnt hammered at renewal time.

Also, wetpatch, how you went from a corsa to an sti with no extra cost is baffling.

thanks all for your help i am trying all companies mentioned and will keep yas informed.

Yeah i know where ur coming from totally. Its Quinn Direct so u probably know ur self what there like. They wouldn't even talk to me about a FTO. I think the irish market is in the dark ages compared to the uk.
