Quick inquiry, who do people rate to insure their wrx/stis with,is their a company that take on subaru enthusiasts in the republic

i heard theres a crowd up the north that do,and they insure lads south of the border also,im going to do a bit more research and see what pops up

i think liberty and there 13 years of loyalty can ram it

its depends on so many things like what kind of a mood the person is in , weather you sound like an easy target on the phone , or that maybe you paid it every other year with out questioning it with them .
or we don't insure them cars anymore so you ring around and find a better quote and discover its insured with them anyway for way less :ponder2: theres no hard and fast rule when it comes to inurance ring around is the best anser   long winded but hope it helps :multijump:

Let us know what you find out.

Thought you needed an address in n ireland to get insured up there

:smokin:

I find axa very good, try there on line quote, as scoobysub said so many variables regarding what they quote, age , experience etc

just got an online quote from axa, fully comp 820 third party 610
not bad, dont think il do much better for a 30 year old young fella :puke3:

good stuff, i did alot of shopping around and found axa the best for my age anyway, im paying 740 full comp on a 2006 sti and im 38 so your quote wasn't that bad at all- enjoy

Try the AA fella... they use AXA, but usually they are about 10-30% cheaper (and you still get the disc from AXA anyway).
I moved to them last year after being with AXA direct for about 7 years and AA beat the AXA quote by about 300 lids (and you can understand my surprise when the disc in the AA envelop turned out to be from AXA - LOL)

~I just got a quote with Liberty for 743 fully comp, on a 06 sti type uk, age 29.. Is this a good price? any of the online quote systems wont give me a quote on it.

That's a brilliant quote , I'm 31 and mine is 830€ but that's on a 98 Sti jap model with mods

Baz is right... my last premium was 742 fully comp with the AA, with mods declared on an '07 2.5 STI and I'm 38 with 17+ years no claims.

Another vote for AXA through the AA. I'm paying €500 fully comp, wife named driver and 5 years no claims (my full no claims bonus is currently attached to a commercial policy hence only 5 years on the second policy).

I got a quote from AA online and then guy rang up on phone to finalise the quote and fill in more details - everything was going well until he said he had to ask a few standard questions and got to "is it modified in any way". As soon as I said yes he went away and came back and said sorry we can't quote you on this any more, sorry. he said they weren't insuring any modified cars. Don't know how some of you guys got quotes - do you have no mads whatsoever on your cars? I can't understand the insurance industry....

See my entry few posts back... with AA and mods declared (stainless exhaust, remap for RON95 and coil-overs - didn't fit coil-overs yet but declared them right at the start in case I wanted to fit them). This was all about 18 months ago, so maybe the rules have changed and they aren't taking new business with mods anymore and just sticking with the few that are on their books?!? :dontknow:

Same as that try the AA.. was with them for years but they stopped letting you suspend part of the policy last year so went with axa direct even though I was with them through the AA.

123 fucked me over tried to get me to pay 2k to change from the golf to the impreza
Only had two weeks left on policy and they wouldnt tranfer it till it was up.
They now want 4 euro that i somhow owe them before they give my no claims.
When phoned to cancel and explained what happend girl said he should have offered to transfer.
Have logged a complaint with them as i ended up paying 170 deposit to axa which i wouldnt be down if they just transfered over.

Had to ring around as i was picking it up that night chill got a qoute of 1500 then 1300.
Rang axa and the said they would do it for 1100.
Sick i have to pay that much but it was a panic buy.

I was only paying 460 when i had the legacy.

unbelievably liberty decided to drop my policy to 510euro fire and theft when i gave them sh*t, i think i got lucky,i suppose i may crawl back to the bastards :phone:

i guess in 10years time mine will be nearly vintage, will i sit it out!
