yeah when they told me they wouldnt insure me , i asked why, is it because of my age and he said no, we dont insure that class of car at all, sports car class. :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

mac would you find the quotes being higher over an irish/UK spec sti's vs the jap sti? :dontknow:
 
Lads my wife drives a 06 1.5rxi scooby....her insurance....€295 full comp....she is 35 with 9yrs ncb.. :dontknow:
 
Got my renewal from Liberty last Friday. I have a jap Bug Impreza STi. Quote was €1009. Straight away, while I thought of it I rang around for more quotes. Rang 6 companies and no one would even quote me. Im 27 with 7yrs NCB.

Cant remember which company it was that told me, but Insurance groups go from 1 to 50 and my car is in group 50. And in order to get a quote on a car in group 50 you have to be over 30 years old, have a full Irish Licence and full NCB.

Rang Liberty then and got them down to €830.

if an impreza is group 50 out of 50, then whats a ferrari? aston martin? lotus? maserati? bmw m5? Porshe? there all going around waterford no problem insurred :cuckoo:

It's about the risk involved. Not many Aston's, Ferrari's, Lotus etc on the roads to be stolen, crashed or modified and with their big price tags they're mostly owned by people much older than 20 somethings. :D

I got mine yesterday 691 fc with step back ncb protection on a 00 b4 im happy with that but might phone around still

Im 25 with 6 yrs ncb
 
very nice, I'm waiting to get mine through in the next few weeks, ill be interested to find out what the damage is

ill 24yo 4NCB when the policy renews, wonder if ill get bellow a grand this year :pray:

The one and only liberty :icon_hang: i hate them but there cheap ,i wouldnt like to try and claim though they are a disaster
