Insurance renewal

pretty sure the log book on mine has dccd on it , then again it was listed as a spec d until i got onto the shower in shannon to change it ,

Mine has dccd on log book alright. I've garage insurance so makes no difference.
Don't know why it increases premium having dccd on it anyway.

Got onto Shannon and was told I needed a C.O.C. cert and I'd have to get this off subaru ireland. So I phoned my local subaru dealer where I get car serviced and they organised the cert for me, got it this morning so have to send this and my tax book off to Shannon now for them to fix the fault. Cert had to come all way from subaru in japan.

Insurance company's are a joke over here.I got my renewal from 123.ie on Clio 172 cup last week.Went up from 465 to 650 for no reason.Decided to ring around and half the company's I rang 'don't insure that kind of car'.I'm 33,with about 13 years ncb ffs. In the end I just put through a quote on the 123 website and it came in at 150 cheaper than the renewal they sent me so I rang up and gave out shite and got it for the online price.Just shows that they whack up the price for no reason.

With aviva but they looking for €600 more this year than last that's why I started pricing around but ran into this problem

I'm with Aviva and I find if I get a new policy every year it's cheaper than renewal. They always want new customers. This renewal they quoted 700 renewal but when I tried the online system as a new customer it was 550. Then when I rang up they couldn't even match their own price and said I may as well cancel and reapply as a new customer. It's just crazy!

im with liberty and got my renewal, it went up 100 euro, from 800 to 900, i know liberty have raised everyones renewal this year due to some higher risk on the road bulls**t, sent them a very angry email saying i would not be renewing if they could at least beat my qoute last year, they emailed me back explaining why it had risen and said they were delighted to be able to offer me an ''additional discount'' which just happened to bring me exactly 1 euro under what i was paying last year, just said f**k it and took it!

Ah well I wouldn't of minded it going up €100 but when it went up €600 it was a bit over the top

mine looked much worse on paper though, my initial premium ( before they take away all your discounts) was 1200 last year then after discounts was down to 800 , my no claims had gone up giving me an extra 35% discount and they threw in a no penalty point discount that they didnt use before, my initial premium before discounts this year was 2850, thats more than double, but with all the extra discounts came down to near enough the same figure, was stil outrageous, i don't expect to spend more on insurance the longer im driving.

Have all the stuff posted to Shannon so just waiting to hear back from them now, they said it will take 3-4 days to process it

got my today, down 60 euro from last year to 740 full comp with d queen named driver- delighted as i heard all premiums were going up this year so i presumed i'd b scalded in d scoobie- staying with axa which was got through a broker, thank god there's a few perks to being 'older' :stismiley

Finally got my tax book sorted and got new one in post today, got rid of the dccd off it and it only reads wrx sti now. Hopefully scoob will be back on road shortly, it only took a little over 7 weeks

Mine and Baz's insurance came down when we took the missuses off our policies. Both of us with liberty.

with liberty also . went up 130 quid on last years . might take the other half off the policy and see does it help at all .

All sorted at long last, scooby back on the road and a full windscreen once again happy days

Do lads know, is it possible to get something similar to a garage policy private? Open drive say to cover any car you own fully comp?

That would probably cost €1500 or more.
