It depends on what you'd like from your insurance policy. What sort of coverage is important to you. Try chill.ie, nononsense.ie, 4thelads.ie, 123.ie for a start and go from there.

Also with Axa, sometime fully comp can be cheaper. If you have a credit union account you can get all your repayments interest free. Ring them and ask them to completely break down your quote.

Im with AXA through chill.ie
I went with them after Quinn tried it on with me.

Quinn wanted €1800
Chill quoted me €1000

I'm with AXA myself Keith and so was my son he has a 1.25 fiesta and they wanted 1800 from him fully
comp this year and when they found out he was working they put it up to 2200 fully comp and 1800
3rd party he is on provisional licence and only driving a year so rang 123.ie and he got it for 930
3rd party with an excess of 300.... not sure what they are like on Impreza's but no harm in trying.

My own insurance is up this month, im with a broker who have me with axa, my renewl quote is a grand comp, unsure what bonus protection comes with that, i say that because everyone i rang so far asks and would you like full or step back protection, they were not like that last year, just another thing they have made up them selves, now i could be wrong but the way i see it is,
if i have an accident and as i like to do, shop around next year they all ask any accidents and i bet they take that into consideration when the price is given, so unless im willing to stay with the same company im screwed anyway, out of the 12 or so quotes i got so far everyone of them was from axa as not one other company are quoting the car so when they give you a quote just ask who its with, i think there should be grounds for unfair or in this case no compitition, i have had quotes of up to 1300 from axa depending who im onto, brokers get discounts and some get bigger ones than others so i recon brokers are the way to go,

Also 4thelads.ie are infact britton ins, i found that out after i rang both :hammerhead:

just got insurance today on a opel zafira with the wife as named driver
360 euro for the year for both of us
insure.ie
beat everyone bye at least 300 euro
my advice is to move every year
i think they give you a discount the first year to get your buisness
its a pain in the ass but it definetly is worth ringing loads and loads of places
supossedly there is a lad in donegal who is cheap
i forgot his name but im sure someone else will know it

well keith i got my insurance quote last week from one direct and they wanted 956 euro, and that is for third party,i rang them and they dropped it to 890 .so i rang a broker and im waiting for word back.its a 02 sti,and im the wrong side of forty,i think its a bit much.so ill let you know when i get word

keith if quinn wont quote you ring them back and ask to speak to a supervisor, happened to me before.they're dopes.one time i rang 3 times in a row and the 3rd person insured me no probs.the 1st 2 i talked to wouldnt quote me.have 3rd party for 600.

I was with aviva for the last ten years and they tried to bugger me this year so i changed to axa and got fully comp and protected bonus for 790 euro.

I found AXA and the AA to be the best and went with AXA. I told AXA I was getting it cheaper and that if they wheren't going to match the figure I had gotten it for the year before I was going to move to the AA even though the AA had quoted more then AXA even with the rise. They said no problem and I stayed with them.

PM Mark as he's with Quinn and has said he'd get a good quote for Isdc members if memory severs me right.

Still ended up 1000 euro, 36 yrs old and a full NCB.

im with axa and paying just over 1000 fully comp on the wagon, im 28 with 7 year NCB i tried ringing around when the renewal cam in but no one else would touch me :wall:
