Got my renewal fri evening. €1446.73 down €23 from last year. Had a long winded argument with my broker to no avail. She told me that I was damn lucky to have my policy reduced with all the new levees etc etc. so gave First Ireland a bell and got fully comp for €1003. Delighted to say the least. Have to ring back Monday Mornin to a girl called Laura who said she will prob be able to better it again. Can't wait to ring my broker back and tell them where to shove there quote. Good start to the wknd I must say. Hate this time of year but turning 30 has its advantages.

from experience turning 30 makes little difference. I'm getting older every year funny enough but my car insurance is not coming down. I'm payinig more now for the same car than I was 3 years ago. My policy is not up for renewal until May so will be interesting this year

30 with 8 yrs no claims on a 05 WRX SL. No points and the wife is fully comp aswell. Just for anyone wondering. Ya turning 30 made no difference with ARB tho.

Turning 30 was no use to me either. Quinn ADDED €800 onto previous years policy.

The age thing is a joke. A simple ploy so they cover their arses. Oh come back to us when you're 25. Ye right, then you get told, oh come back to us when you're 30. Its bullshit.

I recommend the AA as they will search for the company with best quote. I had a bit of a shock in the beginning as some company s will not quote for a subaru impreza .

Got My renewal offer from FBD today for My VAN . Wasn`t too impressed so I rang Aviva , They would quote Me for the VAN because I use it for delivering cakes :hammerhead: If I was only using it for purchasing ingredients that`s fine. Fine , rang 123.ie. When I said My occupation is Chef He apologizes but could not cover Me because of My occupation
FGS it`s a `03 toyota hiace and I`m 37 with long no claim and can`t get a quote :cuckoo:
