hi lads

ive bought a legacy gt wagon with a predator motorsport rebuilt engine claiming around 320 bhp.
its just a 1988cc estate on the logbook.

whos the best to insure these?

how the f**k will i get through an nct?

it wont be my daily driver ive a commercial policy on a jeep and fbd will give me a full no claims bonus cert.

thanks

Nearly anyone will insure a B4 legacy, they not as bad as an impreza. They don't class them as HIGH PERFORMANCE cars.

As for the 320BHP, I would say its more like 280ish. You might see 320 with supporting mods but I really doubt she's 320 TBH.

As for the NCT, all you need is a Cat and you'll be fine

sound thanks.

he had the receipts from predator motorsport claiming that it was 320 bhp. i dont know.
i just graduated from a golf gti so anything over 150bhp is fast to me!

can i get the cats from the subaru breaker in westmeath?

its got a tenzo exhaust so id say that would have to come off for the nct as well

320 bhp should be fine to pass the NCT , mine is 300 and she flew through the emissions ....

and quite frankly a tenzo exhaust should not be allowed near a scooby .....
As the saying goes , a true friend doesnt let his friend buy tenzo .....

and id make sure everything is tickety boo with the car from the start , as trying to get them to fix anything after you've bought it is a long and laborious process .....

Yeah Subaru Salvage should have them, AFAIK they are only in the 2 downpipes on that model legacy but not 100% on that, maybe someone will know better.

Thanks lads

That tenzo exhaust would look better on a ford tw10 drawing silage.!!

I know the guy who owned the car for the past few years so id say its 100% mechanically, he drove it on garage plates and never nct'd it
