gary you talking about a very small percantage. I do agree if you have 22b or type R, RA etc you may want to keep them standart. but like I said for your and my car that are not that special upgrade to suspension (if done right) is direct improvement to driveability and performance
 
22b, ra, type r, wrx, turbo 2000, 2.0 and 1.6/1.5 no difference underneath bar alloy wishbones, same bushings, the 2wds might have pressed rear lateral arms instead of tubular but all the rest are the same as far as I am aware

Sorry I was talking about pink sti parts not just standard sti i Know some stuff just as good white line etc as I have some parts and work well. I mean s model parts that have been copied can?t beat original imo

imo it always comes to the same thing. if you have more special model and you consider it more as an investment then factory is the way to go/stay. but if you have run of the mill model and you are daily driving it and you want to improve the experience then modding with aftermarket bits its the option. When I bought my car I didnt think what she would cost in a 5 years time but I just wanted to drive the sh*t out of it and I did. She always got what she needed and never skipped a beat.
I never drove a lesser model to know if an sti is supperior in terms of hadleling but when I upgraded the few bits underneat I felt the difference. :thumbsup:
 
As has being said above it's not the steel bits that's make the differance it's the rubber that connects them together thats important too soft and there's too much play too hard and it's to harsh .

Usually the original subaru part is just as cheap as the after market part and is make to proper quality control unlike some of the aftermarket stuff . And there unknown till you buy and try by which time it's too late if there not good
