Has anyone heard of a system linking into the alarm with facial recognition, etc. Just saw something and thinking it might be exorbitant amounts of money. Need to get an alarm for the new house anyway so wondering about cameras now as well.
Think 4 like Keith is ideal, back, side front and then one on the door too.
If I was doing it again Rob I'd probably get the eight camera system and run 6 off it but as far as I know they come 4,8,16,32 then after that your into mega money.
You definitely get what you pay for camera wise some of them are unreal quality day and night.
Viewing back on mobile is ok but when on laptop it's class much better quality.
The ones I have are very good in low light hikvision
Good app on phone with very easy playback they are motion sensor cameras so only record when something triggers them but you can view live any time day or night
3 terabyte dvr
Hikvision. Is the only make he does as the cheaper ones and not worth doing . Waiting on a price for a 4and 8 channel kit with 4and 8 camera kit will post up tomorrow or Wednesday but not looking cheap Around. 600 quid
Will depend on the cameras included too as they have a big range from the not great to facial recognition. Also if there's cable in the kit, and if/what size hard drive it comes with.
Their 3mb ip cameras range from £80-130 a pop. The facial recognition one is about £500 for 1 camera
Mate of mine sells the Hiksvision stuff, installs etc. He is based in Co Monaghan but goes all over the country, as far as I'm aware any Hiksvision unit sold in the country comes through him.
PM me for his contact details or Google him, Superior Security
I was chatting to an ex-member Ian Sherratt (Isb4) today and he is going to drop over to the house next week and have a look and give a quote on installing a 4 camera Hikvision system too. He's done alarms in 3 houses for me a few years back. I like the idea of not climbing ladders anyway, haha
