god man keane, i must have been watching a different game, he was sh*t!!!!!!!!

and noel hunt could have scored that goal either way and all i hear is keanes name after the game on rte, not a word said about hunt

italy were dirt and all we got was a draw against ten men
 
To be honest, it was a deserved draw..but against ten men, Ronnie Whelan said it after the match that we looked good when we had space to pass and play but every match we play wont be against ten men so if Ronnies comments are anything to go by, were not looking good!!! Fair enough, Robbie Keane rescued us again and scored and to be honest being a professional should have scored the last minute chance he had. I think Steven Hunt was fantastic tonight as was richard dunne, he deserved man of the match IMO. I suppose were just gonna have to see how the group fairs out, were in a strong position now so once we keep the pressure on the italians, never know what could happen!!!
 
Imagine if Andy Reid was playing, with all the space the midfield were given it would have been a perfect for him to deliver that final pass from midfield which was lacking so often, good performance and a deserved draw :thumbsup:
 
Thats one thing I cannot understand, why is andy reid being exiled by trapatoni, he is one of the best midfielders ireland has and he is nowhere to be seen, its madness, but all the space that the midfield were given was down to one thing, italy only had ten men
 
Turned over to see the score of the England game and when i'd switched back thought Keane had been substituted! Next time i heard his name was about 15 minutes later when he'd scored! I'd like to see Folan get a few more run outs. Obviously not ahead of Keane or Doyle but definately a few sub roles! Seen him a while back when Ireland B played Notts Forest and he seemed like a decent player.
