:angry1: :angry1: :angry1: on my way home today, there is a big crater on the main fuckin road that i always avoid but today there was another car conviently passin at the same time and i couldnt avoid it...loud wack, sounded pretty bad...now when im going over humps and bumps i hear a squeaky sound like a rusty spring or sometin...hope its only front links or tie rods which im replacing soon anyway and not a new shock or spring...fuckin irish roads...and what are we payin tax for :angry1: :angry1: :angry1:

We all pay Motor tax NOT road tax. The government tax you because you can afford to own a car. The money doesn't go towards the roads as I see it.

If it has been previously repaired and is in sh!te again, go back out and take pictures. Whatever the damage is, get it repaired and send the bill to the council. May take ages but you'll eventually get your money back.

Not much consolation to you now though, the roads are a disgrace :angry1:

Question is do you see it right? I cannot believe we are not paying for Roads too? If not, is Road tax included in Fuel Price?

Tax is tax all the surplus cash ends up in the same black hole which is the national debt. Some of the roads round my place are cat

the main n11 between arklow and wicklow is like a mine field , even though the funds to upgrade it to a dual carraige way have been approved its not been looked at , its only a matter of time before there is a serious accident on it the way it is , no sign of any tax payers money going into it

Some money goes towards maintaining roads, to an unbelievably substandard level.

The rest is syphoned off for paying for TDs printing expenses, etc..

Yep Irish roads ar a joke. And my BC coilovers don't help either. Even on softest setting. Thinking of replacing the springs from 5-6kg/mm to their softest ones 3-4kg/mm...
