ISDC V's Scoobiemaniacs

Hi lads, in the few days that the site was down, i found myself checking out the scoobiemaniacs forum. Sound bunch of lads, pretty much the same as here :icon_grin:
Has anyone ever mentioned getting a meet of the two clubs together, maybe arrange some sort of Karting day, have ISDC v's Scoobiemaniacs, few group t-shirts....bit of craic.

See a few new cars....etc.
I haven't been to a meet yet but sure theres a first for everything. Just thought Id mention the idea and see what people think. Also thanks to scooby1wrx, he's posting me out some free subaru dust caps, FREEEEEEE!!!!

Don't think it would be a good idea.

Some sound lads on both sites but a few problems might rise there ugly head

Would be great some day to have it happen as there is a lot of lads here on both sites but I cann't honestly ever see it happening as not everyone gets on.

Two equally good sites for info and panter from the lads.

There won't be any joint meets held between the ISDC and the scoobymaniacs. There's a lot of history between the owners of scoobymaniacs and the members of the ISDC so we do not feel it would be appropriate to hold such an event. Thats not a slight on the members of that site, a lot of them are common across both and are perfectly entitled to be. Members here are free to join there and member's there are feel to join here :thumbsup:
 
As good as it would be to have a joint meet, i know unfortunately it will never happen!
Nothing to stop you attending meets from both sites tho and as a member of Scoobymaniacs i can guarantee you would be warmly welcomed!

In fairness there was talk on here of putting the forum on donedeal to get more members :thumbsup:
 
would also like to see this happen although the chances are as slim as a straw ,for most members of each club there would be no problem i pressume , jus the "leaders" of each party is where the problem would lie imo . im a member of both and quite happy to be .

after all its for the love of subaru that we're alll here isint it ??
 
Nothing wrong with advertising on donedeal lads, we may decide to do it ourselves in the next while. If it helps increase the club profile, then its no harm :thumbsup: .. There are a lot of cars changing hands so its not a bad way of directing people towards our club imo.

As for the leader's thing Ross, I think thats slightly unfair. The committee of the ISDC (as elected by the members) is charged with running the club and acting in the club's best interests. The committee has also changed twice since the trouble we had which ended in the members supporting the committee's action to ban the owners of Scoobymaniacs from the ISDC. A lot of our club members still feel strongly about the way in which scoobymaniacs was set up so its far from just the committee who feel this way.

As for the thread, I think the OP's question has been answered now so I'll lock the thread before this turns into another slagging match :thumbsup:
 
I'm abusing my priviledge as a moderator here, posting in a locked topic.

I don't see why people get to describe what happened as a thing between a few people (leaders :icon_rolleyes: ) and make it sound like it's just a few ISDC people with a chip on their shoulders, and everyone lets that pass.
