Jag?

nice looking car!!!!!
but i wouldnt drive an english sh1t box even for free!!!
IMO.....
suffer with flooding unless they have had the ecu and engine block upgrade!!!!!
:1poke: :1poke:

1. flooding? eh? too much juice goin into the engine?

2. golf? no, i dont have the patience. i like the xk and xj jags though.

DONT DO IT MATE!!!!!!!!! I've owned 2 Jags and my brother had one and they really do fall apart!! They are superb cars to drive but minor problems cost an absolute fortune and believe me you will have plenty of minor problems. Suspension bushes continually go on them, electrical problems galore! The only good thing is that you can source the parts in UK from specialist non jag dealers, jo jags in Liverpool is excellent. I part exchanged my Jaguar for the Subaru and i wont be going back.

i dont think i could take on a car i know is going to be a problem
subarus for their faults are bulletproof mehanically

Always loved he XK8 but don't think I'd buy one for all the above reasons. My brother was mad into them and did a bit of research but in the end they just cost to much to fix small issues.

would they drink more than a b4?
i know the servicing/repair/upkeep costs are crazy.
eg. a mate of mine paid 1200 euro for a serivce on his porsche boxster (just oil and filters)
i would guess you be paying out alot for the little things you have to do
still though...................i might

what sort of idiot would pay 1200 euro for a service .......
thats crazy!!!!!
get yourself a haynes manual and do it urself mate...not rocket science!!!!!
jag have used the same block on their v8 and striaght 6 for donkeys years....

dont mince your words anyway....no chance you might insult anyone

the 1200 euro came from things like
porsche oil 200 euro
special porche coolant 150 euro....and so on

i guess you could be hit for similar on a jag
i probably would try to alot of it myself if i was faced with those sort of prices, but the killer seems to be the parts and special high end stuff that flash cars like jags and porches want (but maybe dont need when theyre 10 years old plus)

sorry man....not insult intended!!!
special porsche coolant, oil.......
its rubbish mate....
porsche or most other dealers dont manufacture these fluids.....
merc use to do that when i worked there...
buy in oil for 2 euro a litre and sell for 12 euro a litre....specially on castrol slx
fookin robbing people who dont know any better or have too much money to worry...

Dont ever believe main dealers about silly stuff like coolant and oils. I was in a main toyota dealer last monday-a customer broke the key of her 01 corolla and i had to sort it with a new key-the dealer told me id have to load it onto my truck, bring it in-theyd cut and program a key and itd be itro 1200euro. Got the key code-went to well known galway locksmiths-key cut and coded for 76euro. And while i was in the dealers i saw spurious discs and pads being delivered-which im sure some poor customer is paying the price of genuine parts for.
