Octane Boostaholics
Well lads, as some of you that were at the night meet the other night know my car started playing up on the way out there. RS RA came for a quick spin & reckoned she felt like a sparking issue. But he was off first thing Friday morning to America so I was left with little time to find out the problem & get it fixed before Rally Ireland next weekend.
So sent John (Jomo) a pm Friday morning in a bit of a panic. No problems said johnny, get yourself down here Saturday afternoon & we'll fix ya up. Went down & he first did a diagnostic on her, no codes showing up. So he took the plugs out to have a look, despite being NGK
he said they were fine, no excessive wear on them.
Next up was the leads, still the originals by the looks of them but no obvious breaks etc. Anyway he stuck a new set of magnecor leads in and problem solved.
So big thank you to Jomo, excellent service @ very short notice and much appreciated.
Also took the time to clean out the boost solenoid & idle control valve while he was under the bonnet.
And as shown before with the whiteline gear he fitted for me, the bill he charges for the work he does is more than modest, its a bargain.
Thanks John
