Hello all, just joined the forum, im driving 1.6ts the last 3 years cos when I got it, the best insurance quote I got for a turbo was 2500 quid with a 4k excess! I got a quote for a 97 wrx wagon last week from britton of 765. Pity im on short time in work, hopefully if things pick up again i'l be goin for a turbo!
 
Got a couple of quotes, from insure.ie and easyquote.ie, all came in round the same price, im 27 with 7 years ncb, full license 5 years.
 
welcome along :thumbsup: how much of an excess is on the quote from britton? a freind of mine has 4 grand excess on his policy with them for a gtr skyline :cuckoo:

Britton usually have lots of hidden costs, be careful of them if you decide to go with it! :thumbsup:
 
300 quid. You can alter the excess though. The price just gets higher the lower the excess. Maybe itys so cheap cos its a 12 year old car? Or maybe its cos I have full license 5 years and claim free for 7?
 
I better check out britton again so. You lads would know better than I would what their like. The other quote I got was on easyquote.ie and that was 785 through Kennco-highway choice whoever they are?

I have a 97WRX Wagon aswell, Also 27 years old and 7 years no claims
Insured with Travellers insurance companythrough 123.ie and mine is less than that...... So i would say its acurate enough.....

I know of a WRX wagon goin for 2500 Euro if ur interested......
Dont know any history on it tho.....
