Getting a b4 thursday and wont be getting it maped for a month or two.Just wondering does anyone no where i can get a knock link supplied and fitted near limerick???Cheers

would most Subaru's have the knock sensor already fitted?

Most modern engines will already have a knock sensor fitted as standard, but any type of knock sensor may be fitted as required. The sensor is normally screwed into a boss on the engine block although some manufacturers fit the sensor in the inlet manifold (especially Ford). In either case, the sensor must be in such a position that block vibrations are coupled to the sensor.

Thor sell 2 knoclinks, one with sensor, and one without, Just curious which one you would need?

i personally have the stock one on the right hand side and the knocklink one on the left side so that covers the whole engine!!!!

www.thor-racing.co.uk can supply the knocklink!!!!
piece of p1ss to fit IMO..
Cheers for that appriciate it :thumbsup:The b4 i bought is a 01 so i presume it already has a knock sensor so i should only need the knocklink and not the knocklink kit rite???

at the moment the ecu in your car will adjust the ignition system if detenation is detected and you wont even know of it but if you alter the wiring to suit the knocklink, you will only have a visual alarm of detection and it is up to you the driver to either slow down or damage the engine!!!
thats my understanding which could be wrong!!!!

Dont rely on the oem, get yourself a knocklink. Its the cheapest piece of kit you will buy in the long run.
