Knocking noise while turning at slow speed? 2004 Impreza STi

Hi all, car started making a "knocking" noise from the wheels/axle areas while turning at slow speed. It's gradually becoming stronger.

The noise is definitely noticeable after longer drives. It happens when I turn the car at slow speed only.

Anyone experienced something similar? CV joints? Any guidance or suggestions for parts to buy are highly appreciated.

Car is a 2004 Impreza STi (Type UK) with approximately 116,000 miles.

Thanks!

Is it a knocking or constant whining noise. If whining noise then proabaly wheel bearing as said.

If knocking noise could be shocks. Known fault

It's gas i was only watching your YouTube blog on the ring trip last night

Hi all, appreciate the intent to help. So I went for a short drive and managed to get the noise going again (not as loud as when I went to Dublin last time, longer drive than today which was about 15-20 mins). The more I drive, the louder the noise.

Recorded a video and you may be able to hear the noise (put up the volume please). Let me know if you can't watch the video. Thanks again!

It sounds like a diff to me , when was the last time the rear diff and gearbox was serviced ?
Could be center diff

was the car worked on recently or what was the last stuff that was done to it
Yes, but don't think they're related though (e.g. antiroll bar links and bushings) around 3k miles ago. Planning to take it to the mechanic next week, aiming for the CV joints, but I'd say diff should definitely be checked as well.

Hi all, dropped off at the mechanic this morning. Took it for a drive beforehand and luckily, it was making the noise when I got there. According to initial inspection, it's an issue with the diff and a gearbox rebuild may be necessary. Anyone here can recommend a professional for gearbox rebuild? I'm currently searching, but any guidance is appreciated. Will share the final report on the inspection today later. Thanks!
