Knocking when turning

Could be a wheel bearing or the cv joint, best to get it check, i recently had my cv joint replaced by Subaru in Crumlin, cost E330. Forgot to get
them to balance the wheels though :doh:

surely a wheel bearing would roar while driving!!!!!
i'll go cv also!!!!

@ericsti
did ya find out what the ticking noise was from the weekend???
was the cv dry of grease???

i wager its a wheel bearing. when they go and before they get bad they only knock when turning. if it is the bearing, you will know if you jack the car up, grab the wheel in the 9 and 3 o clock positions and try to rock it. if nothing happens try the 12 an 6 positions and this could tell you is its a lwr ball joint.

no its not the wheel bearing because it is only happening when turning left or right..... go with the cv joints but either get them from a subaru dealer or a good motorfactors they are simple enough to replace. had a similar problem about three months ago and a friend from subaru told me to replace the cv joints!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I now have a thick thick thick thick thick thick when turning right. Going to get it checked out and if it's the same as your noise could be the same thing.

Are you sure that's not your indicator....... :1poke:
