Petrolheads
as above lads about 3.10 tonight my impreza was taken from outside the house i had the misses xsara parked behind it they pulled out the top of the driver door on the xsara and pushed it back and got the subaru out herself heard the car takin off and woke me up as onto the guards straight away we could still hear the car in the distance.the guards were out straight away car was recovered jus before the motorway at kildare guy arrested and car is gone for forensics have it back 2moro ignition broke out of it wont know more til 2moro evenin.thank god the misses heard it and for it been nearly empty on fuel and clutch slippin and a nur spec.hopefully no major damage lads jus a warnin be extra aware with robberies takin place and how simple it could happen

Glad to hear you got it recovered so fast. Hopefully not too much damage done. I think maybe the thief may have burnt out the clutch maybe as well? :dontknow:

Scum bags everywhere glad you got it back so fast ger theres nothing safe now :angry1:

Very, very lucky ger... congrats on getting it back... and hope it doesn't set you back getting it fixed.

Was she not alarmed... no big dirty chain round the wheel...????

she was alarmed and immobilized laserline job but obviously didnt do the job :new_2gunsfiring_v1: be gettin a clifford as soon as i get it back

I'd also stick a dirty big chain round the wheel and "u-bolt" it through the floor... no better deterant! I've had one on ever car I've ever owned and I've never had a car stolen. Spent 3 years parking on Oliver Bond St too and never any bother. It could take them a few minutes to get past your alarm and at least 20mins to cut through a chain... they'll just walk away and go for the easier option each time.

yeah good idea there be puttin a kill switch in it the next time even went to the effort of breakin into the misses xsara and movin it found the ignition on the ground this mornin thank god the misses heard it or id never see it again :icon_pray: jus goes to show how quick and simple your pride and joy can be lifted from your front door :angry1:

Completely agree been saying this for years...heard it straight from the horses mouth...if it's gonna take him 30 minutes to get around a wheel brace and a chain he won't bother
