Legacy B4 - Double Din To Single Din

guys,

in an 03 B4 Legacy with the standard double din head unit installed, how hard is it to go to single din?
is there a single din cubby hole available or a blanking piece?

Best option is to get a nice double din alright.

Failing that get a single din pocket from subaru & you'll then be able to fill the remaining space with any single din radio you want

As above, single din is just a straight swap with the addition of another pocket which is quite cheap.

If its the standard unit in the car then you will also more than likely need a subaru to iso connector so you can just plug and play rather than having to cut the wires

I prefer a nice double din unit though personally

i would consider a nice double din unit, but i have a brand new single din unit still in the box with usb, aux in, MP3 and bluetooth so it seems a shame to let it go to waste!

Don't have a part number handy but from memory they are fitted to the foresters so you'd be looking for a forester dash pocket din size.

Heres one from scoobyparts...unsure what modification would be required though to fit a leggy

Forester ones are silver and would not suit the dash.

Agree with above single din may look lost as B4's have 3 din space. Assume you have factory black shelf and double din radio. A genuine subaru shelf like you have is e35 from subaru.
