legacy b4 exhaust system

Hi lads, was thinkin about changin my standard exhaust for sometin with a bit of rumble but im fearin the worst as mine is an auto and mite sound shitty goin through gears, anyone here have a auto with an exhaust an what they sound like?im lookin for sometim that will past nct also that fits strsight to my standard centre section, also do I necessarily need to get it mapped after I fit?

Get a cat back so change out your centre section and backbox, it will still pass the nct emmissions as the main cat is in the standard downpipe.

Can't see any reason why an auto box would make the exhaust sound any different though? :ponder2:

i have a auto with a shouty back box, sounds great, don't see how it would make any difference being an auto sound wise

You mean it might sound shitty going through the gears as an auto v's a manual,
Going from 1st to 2nd etc

 yes going through gears!do they sound ok as they change?cus ive heard a few autos before (not subarus) and they sounded pretty shitty through the gear changes.

Dont sound that bad
if you think about it your gona have a bit more of rumble at low speeds so shouldnt notice much difference in sound through gear change and you prob wont care when you put the boot down as its gona be louder again and you will be well gone before anybody notices it shifting

yeah was thinkin that myself!!!what make would be best as i dont want a loud one,and if too loud will fail nct.. what sort of money wud u be talking for a nice second hand cat-back system?

There's a few video clips from for cat back systems on legacies on here somewhere :geek:

To start off with here's a clip of the system I have on mine at the moment

sounds very well... but a wee bit loud for me as ive a wee man on board too!!...which of these would be best an cheapest an not too loud????

Im lovin the second one....although the hayward & scott probly sounds the best, but could be very loud driving???
