Why buy a car from a dealer if they're not willing to give a warranty?
Is that not why people are more inclined to buy at a dealers?!

Just buy private for a lot cheaper and you are in the same position(no warranty) :ponder:

When I bought my WRX from a Subaru dealer in Novenber 2006, my car was 3 years old,
yet I got a full(all inclusive) 2 year warranty in writing!! I now have the car over 2 years and never had a problem!

I they dont wanna stand over it, id walk away! Its a buyers market-dealers are mad to sell..Best peace of mind you could get IMO is to get one of the traders here to inspect it

Ciaran's number is 0878330772 ... He'll know what condition the car is in if they let him have a proper look around...

I'd still be very wary if they are so determined not to give you a guarantee... You should be prepared to walk away... You're in charge, its a complete buyers market at the moment and there are plenty of very clean, well looked after cars around...
 
^^ as above mate, no point in buying off a dealer if they aren't prepared to give you some sort of guarentee. Take your time looking for a car, could cost you in the long run if you rush it. It's a complete buyers market at the moment so you'll find the right car if you take your time. Also your on the best site around for any advice on buying or maintaining your subaru so i'd definitely listen to what lads are saying :subaru:
 
they should at least give you 3 months on the engine and gaurentee the nct, thats what i got with mine and i wouldnt settle for any less. the fact there not prepaired to give you anything ied walk away as they might know something you dont about the car.
