Hi MrMagoo

I'm actually selling mine.
And ill be honest their has only been minor things wrong with it, but to a person who has no car knowledge it would be costly, and i have to say without the help of the guys here and of course froggy it wouldnt have been managabe. Ive managed to sort about 98% of things wrong with it. What i will defo say is my engine and gearbox are 100%. if you read my posts you will see the issues ive had with mine.
They are worth the read even for reference, to actually know what to look for when looking for a scooby. Im sure mine are not the be all and end all though, im sure their is much more info.

All that has to be done to mine to pass the NCT in feb is to replace the clock spring (the squib) to get the horn working.

Once ive done the work to mine, any test is welcome..

Other things are the idle position sensor, (ive plugged this out and thats the only reason i have a cel on, reason why i plugged it out is because it causes the revs to idle higher as it is faulty.) And bushings.

By the way, when you are looking at a car, ask to see the back of the dash. (The CLOCKS before you buy, and i must stress that. its only 2 screws holding it in so no excuse lol , as if it dont have a bulb in it, it wont light up! you get me! ? ( So if the CEL position doesnt have a light in it, the CEL light will never light up.)
In my mind if they are hesitant in showing you know the reason why.

My bet is ask someone here who knows scoobys and who maybe is a scooby mechanic, give him a few spondoolies to come and give the car a once over, it might money well spent.

Hope that helps ya

John
