try decat ur centre section first see how tat feels
 
Yea defo try the de-cat center too and see how that goes,

I have a HKS Hi power centre section and back-box and gives a lovely noise and especially when you are in the big turbo :smokin: :smokin:
 
D i just replace the piece with the cat with a new center section with no cat ? sorry if its a dumb question im not 2 up on exhausts
 
my dad just sold his b4 a few months ago. it had a 5zigen back box lovely deep growl off her and get the odd pop now and again. i would defo recommend a 5zigen back box wit watever centre section. would put a smile on anyones face
 
hks and 5zeigen ar in around 600 for the back section
den about 3 for centre

Could i replace centre section and leave the original back section? would that give me a bit more of a sound
 
IMO if the cost is a factor I would go back box then centre section..Thats the way i went with it first :thumbsup:

You will get a nice sound off just the back-box then when you have a few more reddies get the centre section :smokin:
 
if all ye wont is noise den go back box but the centre section will give better flow and a slight better sound so imo flow is better den sound but ye gotta love the sound
 
well im still waiting on my back box from H+S , so hopefully any day now ,
but after i have that on , ill see how loud it is , and consider replacing the centre section and a tweak map to unleash a few more horsies ,

out of interest , how much of a gain would replacing the centre section see

This is it i finally got it put on on tuesday night , and have been in rumble heaven all week long ...
i love this system ...

i got it from hayward and scott , 260 stg plus 45 delivery , and i tell ya its worth every penny ...
and its a piece of piss to put on , 10 minutes tops , two bolts and 3 hangers , exactly the same as the old one ...

oh and thanks to everyone for posting their videos .....
really appreciate the advise , and the chance to see for myself what the different systems sound like

Is that with a standard downpipe and centre section? Seems very quiet to me, compared to the video of the 3.5inch tailpipe version i put up with a full decat... I'm considering getting the 4.5 version myself which is why i ask... What revs were you getting to there?

You also seem to have gotten a good deal, its listed at £305 on their website :thumbsup:
