legacy front links!!

was just wonderin if front links are a commen faliure for NCT cus ive a test in the morning and my mechanic is still waiting on them from germany over a week now,why is it so hard to get these links??cant get any from motor factors and genuine is too expensive!!anyway just wanted to know if any of you guys and gals ever have a failure on these???
