legacy problem

a mate of mine is having trouble with his 2000 B4 legacy, when on full lock and pulling off he gets a slight knock coming up through the steering wheel? this happens when turning in both directions, i got him to do this while i had my hand on the alloy and you can also feel it through this, any one any ideas as to the cause of it and how would he go about fixing it??

Check driveshafts,ball joints,and tie/track rod ends. Also possibly worn topmount. Should never keep anything on full lock long-pumps don't like it and very often you will feel them pulsing through steering wheel. Hopefully its nothing in the transfer box-check simple things first.
