Pipes seem to be well on the blink so time to act.

If i get a primary decat downpipe, does the engine need to be mapped for this? cause thinking of getting one of these and a secondary catted pipe.

Also, what would this be like for the nct?? would i get away for it? gonna be due in march thats why i ask. or is it just the centre decat that would matter? i wanna get a decat centre eventually but downpipes are essential at the minute.

So basically, not sure if my car would pass the nct as is, loss of back pressure, but not sure if it would pass if i got the decat downpipe either, so looking for some info, ie should i do nct before getting these or not??

Cheers guys

you might be able to get a sports cat that would be an in between full cat and decat ...
it will pass nct with a sports cat!!!

yeah im looking at a hayward and scott one, dunno if they would do a spotrts cat on them.

Sports cats are big money as far as I know...
And yes, you will need a remap to deal with the decat!

Talk to northdublin,he has a decat on his leggy and it passed the nct, just bung in some of that diptane stuff a week before its due and you should be ok and yeah you def need a remap or tweak map otherwise you run risk of melting a pistion :shock2:

Why on earth would you stick a cat on the secondary downpipe??? You will need a remap if you decat the primary downpipe.... Afaik you will be alright if you decat the centre section... If your own primary cat is fecked, you can borrow mine, its just sitting in the shed at the moment but i will need it for my own NCT in march...
