So you're looking to break the law & drive a subaru uninsured essentially?

Fook sake :wall:

Yeah if u put it like dat, But its just the same for people that tune up ther cars wit loads of bhp, ther breakin the law 2 so im sure thers loads of people on this site doin the same.

These cars would be hard found these days I'd say. Last one I saw for sale with 2.0 on log book mensioned in the forsale was about a year ago. NCT and insurance companies using reg based computer systems have filtered them all out. Some nice Wrx cars forsale in the forsale section and their cheap enough now so get a good car for small money and insure it right or buy it in your other halfs name and go name driver on it. At least you'd be legal.

You could give some more info man, no one knows whether you have 1k or 10k to spend. Spit out what you want to spend and what you would like for it and take it from there

My type RA was down as an Sti Wrx and so to was my prodrive bug.

have you actually priced the difference for insurance between a 2.0 and turbo model? I hope you never crash a car insured like that as you would be in a world of sh*t if you hit someone or hurt some

Ah yeah... ignorance is bliss... :snooty: how you claim you didn't know it had a Turbo.

It may have happened to your mate... but that's not to say you'll get away with it. Insurance companies hates these cars and will do whatever they can to get them off their books... or worse yet not pay out on a claim.

If you do crash.. and the insurance company won't pay out.. the other party has to claim either on their own policy or through the Motor Insurance Bureau of Ireland. In 2010 they paid our 59 million for un-insured claims... a cost of which is passed onto all of us insured drivers at approx 40 euro extra on our premiums annually. Therefore we are paying for the likes of yourself who aren't willing to pay for the correct coverage.

At the end of the day.. if you can't afford the correct insurance... don't buy one til you can.

That's what I had to do 10 years go when I bought my first Turbo at the ago of 27... I would have loved one when I was younger but not a the price of doing it illegally!
