Can you not just put the Cat'd downpipe back in the exhaust for the NCT and get it taken straight back out again like people do with Ecutek remaps? Or is there a reason you cant?

my car would not pass nct with simtec , had to put original ecu in and maf and off course cat too

Good man Jp, was everything else on the car previously mapped on ecutek?

Say for example, I have have my car mapped now as it stands but if i put a front mount, 3 port, etc into the car and only had that mapped on simtek, would i have to go back to the top mount, 2 port, etc with the ecutek'd standard ECU for the NCT cause otherwise the fueling would be way off? Or would you be able to swing it for the day with the ECU, MAF and Cat'd downpipe just?

I would like to know too if it will pass nct with simtek ecu, my nct is tomorrow morning.

Will the oem ecu work okay if i have to put that in ie car running okay, with air temp sensor??

sorry meant to say as well had to change back to factory 2 port boost solenoid ,

no man my car was not mapped for ecutek , but i know lads that have ecutek and all they have to do is re fit cat and there is no problems .

my car failled the first time cause its running so much fuel with simtec ( man in the nct said to me never seen emmissions so high before ) take that green party

:icon_biggrin:

as i said man

factory ecu

maf

original 2 port ( that is if your car came with one )

cat

and just for safe measure some DIPTANE

Well that doesnt seem like a massive job so not too bad. I though that having the front mount etc might feck people up but i suppose its not boosting when they are testing emmisions so couldnt be too far off. The biggest job there is still the cat but people could nearly do the rest themselves. Cheers JP

i'm confused now!!!
so i am better not to do mods and simtec til after i get NCT....
otherwise i will have to put old parts back on and off again!!!
