Lowlife and stance nation

i dunno sean they can work, well to a point, i had my car lowered quite considerably up until recently enough, by my calculations about 50-55mm and didnt really have any problems, could still manage any speed bumps i tackled, my dirt lane to my house, the only real problem was parking facing curbs, the ride wasn't even that terrible, have STi springs on a set of billies now and i can honestly say my reaction to first driving on the STi's was "god these are stiff"

never rubbed could carry a full car of people, no grinding bottoming out, so i would say it was 90% practical the -10% would be the parking thing

dont get me wrong, there are serious handling implications ( that were seriously highlighted when i put normal suspension on again) but i most cars that get "stanced" arent drivers cars, like alot of the slammed Imprezas you see are American, America doesnt have corners :icon_biggrin: they still have some grunt and yet to the people who's opinions they give a rats clackers about, look cool. isnt that what its about? pleasing yourself and getting the "props" from your peers and mates?

i think that MX5 looks hella cool i have to say, and with the correct geometry mods, would prob handle better than its OE height brothers too, that latter point is very rarely done i know i didn't. :hammerhead:

@b4soon there is a huge difference in a sh*t box civic or vw with cut springs and sticker bombed within a inch of its life and a properly stanced car with mega expensive wheels hours of body work to except wrong offset wheels and also top of the line suspension they are a very long way from the sh*t here in ireland imo
