Manifold Painting

Hey folks

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to paint the manifold on the car,
Have been thinking of painting it but not being mechanically minded and not having any tools I was wondering if anyone has done this without removing it from the car??

Any help appreciated

Magoo

Lad if i removed it id prob put it back upside down and inside out!!! Would be terrified to take it out for fear of not being able to put it back properly!!

There's no way you'll be able to do it in place without it turning out like sh!te imo :icon_sad:

If you do decide, then high temp crinkle paint is the way to go

Yeah think i may try to get my hands on a second maniflold and do it off the car! Would prob turn out shite if i tried it on the car!

Pick up a 2nd hand mani and get it stripped and painted, Id leave it as it is before i would go paint it without removing it, because as Robbie says it will be a mess..
Could always polish the manifold? :ponder:
If your not really mechanically minded then it might turn out to be a nightmare, it can be very difficult to get the standard soft rubber induction pipe to come off turbo without putting a hole in it :wall:..
When you are in the process of lifting manifold it might be an ideal time to stick an Uprated Silicon intake pipe on, thats if you have the few quid to spare or are botherd, buy 2 new inlet mani gaskets awell,

Cheers Ken, words of wisdom always appreciated, and i deffo will replace the intake pipe and gaskets! Cheers!
