mapping

99 and 00 up imprezas standard ecu can be ecu tek mapped. some 98 aswell depending on month of year they were produced

cheers ken. no this is just me version 6 have a work van so havnt been using it .the ez36 is coming along nicely bit more welding to do and just waiting for a few parts after that bi wiring job to get done give johnny a ring.any idea of a price for the remap. delighted ken got the pix of the car looking well glad to see it in good hands

You have a bit of a custom jobby there,
You should maybe get on to one of the traders who deal with ecutek mapping facilities,
I use STI Tuning (Davelegacy) he hasn't had any problems with my forester being different!
Dan

Buy that apexi fc off Damo, that will probablly work out cheaper mapd and all than ecu tek. plus you have comander and you can take it with you to nxt car and put old ecu back.. apexi is the job with comander, you have all info on a screen

Have Power FC on the skyline! no problems!
But how does it work out cheaper to buy an ecu and then remap than it is to remap the standard ecu??
Dan

Cause with eku tek you have to once off buy the licence to use there soft wear, this is a once off payment and doesnt have to be paid wen you want it remaped or tweeked, i think the figure is something like 400euro?? Traders???? i stand corrected if not.. I had the decision to make b4 and i went apexi route, for the new apexi, comander, and map i think it worked out at 300 euro more exp than getn eku tekd... so with Damo selln the 2nd hand apexi at around half the new price, it could work out even cheaper than eku.
But if you take into consideration that for mayb 300 euro extra you get the comander, which displays so much info, can do away with need to buy other monitering equipment, and apexi leaves so much more room for further modifying if you choose to some where down the line, you can use a maf sim with apexi i think and map out your maf wen you get to that power level, and so much more that the ecu tek wont be able to do if you want to go further..

apexi still requires something to control boost on top of that. avc-r, OR apexi boost kit add on for power fc OR the manual boost controller which i prefer to stay away from but still workable no prob..

is this to control 6 cylinder engine?

Are you sure an apexi fc needs something extra to control boost?
I thought that the likes of an avcr or any boost controller for lack of better desription were totally optional and for purpose of adjusting the boost outside the map. Why cant it control the boost with the original subaru equipment? It cant be mapd to say 1.3 and hold it without an add on?

No not properly on every gear as in car runnig 1.4 every gear.

You can adjust wastegate duty percentage through ecu on map to try get round this but not advised as you could have 1.1 bar in first, 1.4 bar in second, 1.35 bar in third, 1.25 bar in fourth, 1.15 bar and falling in fifth...

Not ideal situation..............

Not consistant.....

The apexi power fc is not a boost controler and never claimer to be. Its an ecu. This is why the ecu has optional boost control kit which then allows the hand controller to turn into a boost controller. This has upto 4 different boost setting but needs this apexi boost control kit to be able to have this fuction active.

Didnt know that, is that only with a scooby? ive seen other imports with apexis and didnt notice anything else on them that looked like anything to do with boost control, the add on your on about, what does that consist of? is it software wise or is it something physical?

hi its physical consisting of a 3 port solinoid and map sensor.. this has loom connecting into ecu for control..

be same for any s14/s15 or any skyline.......
