Maxol not selling E5 anymore?

Jaak

Petrolheads
I just came back from Navan street Maxol. I noticed that all of the E5 pumps were closed, so I asked the cashier about it.
Basically maxol can not afford E5 anymore because of government duties added.

Does anyone know if this is the truth? No more 99ron :new_puppy_dog_eyes:

Yeah its true, i know the manager in the sallynoggin maxol, about a month or so ago and he informed me about this. Basically when maxol runs out of E5 thats it and will be replaced with standard 95ron

:shock2:

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

say it aint so ....... :icon_cry: :icon_cry:

thats a c*nt for all the lads that have mapped for it

especially the ones mapped for e5 and booster

The link above says "However, our commitment to E5 unleaded petrol is absolute.”

as far as i know all petrol sold in this country from next year on will have some biofeul approx 5%. has something to do with some agreement to keep down carbon emmisions if we as a country dont meet a certain levels we will have large fines to pay. this seems to be the way our goverment is going all they will have to do is tell europe we are useing 5% biofeul in our cars and trucks as this will be added to diesel also.the also wont have to give large tax breaks to people who are buying boifeul cars.even in england there is a grant to convert to gas one of the cleanest feuls around

Just to clear this up for everyone..

I contacted Maxol Ireland today, and they have confirmed that E5 is here to stay,, They have remarked that staff in the serves stations mentioned above may have been confused and mixed up E5 and E85,,

Maxol Rep "i will mention it to the regional manager,, these staff clearly don't know the product there selling."

E5 is here to stay and is sold in all of the Maxol stations in the south of Ireland
