Mcrae air crash ruling

You wonder how they can come to such a conclusion with no flight data recorder on board... :ponder:

Taken from the news article....

"One of the crash victims, Mr Duncan, filmed much of the outbound and return flights on his personal camcorder and some of the footage was recovered and included in the inquiry hearings"

Video evidence answers your question.

I thought there was an issue with foggy weather at the time being a contribitary factor? That would excuse the low flying. The examination of the scene later with no fog would make it look like unessesary low flying. Fog would also explain him being off course. Easy for the inquiry to damn him looking at a bit of video which could probably see clearer than the human eye in such conditions with the advantage of polarized and infrared lenses available. I would doubt any father would fly like an idiot with family and friends. Rip to all.

Colin pushed to the limit in cars, jetski's buggy's etc so he could of been the same in a helicopter. I dont think they'd come out with them statements unless they were 100% on what happened. It was an accident at the end of the day. Still a legend :subaru:
