Mev exocet track car

Haven't updated this in awhile....

I done fundracer in August 24,great day out and the only time drift cars and grip cars are out on track together along with road cars, super cars, rally cars, buggies etc.

Works well, but very very sketchy at times!

Car was flying all day and done plenty of passenger spins to help out.car didn't miss a beat

My little one got out in the exocet for the kids laps!she was born a petrol head and loved it!

Few pictures from fundracer

I have been collecting parts to turbo the car with a bulletproof 250bhp goal.
I picked up a 1.8 vvt engine with plans to turbo it,kraken low mount manifold, hybrid t25 turbo, kraken 3" downpipe and upgraded clutch and lightend flywheel along with a few other bits.

I refitted a modified standard mx5 backbox as the motorbike can was blowing and restricting the car.

Then I done the trackdays.ie November day and changed my mind at the end of the day.i had so much fun in the car that day!
I had endless seat time, and feel my driving improved massively. Absolutely no issues on the day and I think it's the most fun I've ever had on track or driving any car.
My brother in law called up for some passenger laps and hooked up one of his microns (GPS timer from his go karting team) .
I was blown away by the information it provides and shows areas where my driving can improve.

That day made me realise I didn't want to go ahead with the turbo build.

Still contemplating fitting the vvt swap vs building an N/A cammed set up....

Some pictures from the November day

I dropped the car down with kevin at division88 in January to get fluids changed, check over and a few ongoing niggles sorted.

The fuel filler has been an ongoing issue, would take over an hour to fill it with petrol. Kevin repiped and sorted out breather.
Now it can be fueled up in about 5 minutes.
He noticed the rear loom was rubbing on the cover and damaging the wiring. so he repaired it,fitted quick release fittings to help remove rear clamp shell in future.

Passenger harness was always really hard to adjust,so I upgraded it to a sparco harness.the same one I run on drivers side and it's easily adjusted.

Kevin noticed an issue with rear calipers, so new calipers, slider pins and green stuff pads were fitted.

As always,top class service from division88 đź‘Ť

I done trackdays.ie day on Sunday.

I had a rough night sleep Saturday, barely got 2 hours with a sick puppy.

My little one helps me load the car on trailer and decided to play with my delicate mirrors.she broke drivers mirror and rear view mirror was never great. (Not ideal!)

Sunday was wet,cold and windy!
I struggled with grip and tyre pressures for most of the morning, track started to dry up before lunch and things were going well.
Rain came back for the afternoon and tiredness was really kicking my ass!
Didn't really enjoy the day,but it wasn't the cars fault.just too tired.

Roll on the next day!

Few jobs to sort before then

Fix mirrors
Look at modifying/ changing exhaust setup.

Few pictures of my number 1 helper and the trackday
