Did anyone ever advertise with Modified Motors in their back section??
Your man Paul rang me up one day after seeing my ad somewhere else and gave me his sales spiel about how to advertise with them, they offer cbg and a few other little bits and bobs, but basically, they dont get taken down until the car is sold.
ANYWAY, the story was that I payed 90 quid in order to get my ad up in their for sale section in the magazine, for 2 months in the big section, plus all the other websites that cbg look after too.
So, first ad came out in the issue with Wez's cars on the front, and it was a feckin shite ad. It said feck all about what was done to it, ie, recently serviced, member of isdc, comes with original md/cd player(?????? yes I have it to send with the car but its not whats in it now, and not something that i would put into an ad if i only had a few words to write it in. so all in all was a bad ad.
So I rang him up and told him it was a crap ad that was put it in the mag and I told him i was raging that i spent 90 quid on this. he said "ok, send me what you want to put into the ad and i'll do it for the next one and i'll then put the ad in for another month cause you werent happy with the first." I said grand, (still a bit pissed off with the ad!). so awaited the next 2 months to see.
This month, with Sean's car on the front of that mag, I dont even see my car in the big section, as was promised! its in the small one alright but i paid for 2 months in the big one. NOW IM REALLY PISSED OFF
I have left a message on his answering machine saying I would like him to ring me back, still no sign, and this is since the mag came out this month, bout a week.
This is a boloxy recession, which i dont think they know this either, I dont just throw 90 quid here and there to anyone, If I do, I trust them to do all they say they will, as other advertising companies such as auto trader and carzone and done deal have done for me.
So has anyone else ever had problems like this with them??
Rant over.
