Savage day lads!
I was gutted my skyline wasn't working well, I was very close to driving her on un mapped! Jomo and Davelegacy recomended against it but! (I know, I have a problem)
I was lying in bed thie morning around 7 O'clock and I said to my wifey that I might not go to mondello at all because it would only wreck my head not being on track,
But I said I'd see how I go, I got there and started pulling her apart to put new coilpacks in, Jomo brought a set he had in the garage, But they didn't fit!
I was very unhappy!
A Lad I see at the trackdays saw how p1ssed off I was and said I could borrow his spare car, So I ended up driving his Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 2.5 twin turbo, Stripped out and really nice coilovers and EBC discs and pads, That's it, And she was savage, The Active Yaw Control made it nearly impossible to get the arse out, which is an amazing bit of tecknoligy for a road car, It was very easy to drive fast safely, really very impressive, She ran flawlessly all day,
The ran came for the last session so I got a chance to test the AYC, As soon as you get reallyt sideways yoy have to throw in full opposite lock but only for a few seconds, you can feel the AYC trying to take control again, then you have to unwind the lock and straighten the wheel before it regains control!
It's very impressive stuff!
The lad who lent me his car is Tommy Nolan (Bobcat tools and machinery) He wouldn't even take money off my for wear and tear on his tyres and brakes! (I hid some cash in his glove box) So If anyone has a chance to do him a good turn, He really deserves it!
Good to see some of the ISDC lads there, I'm sorry I didn't get much time to chat, Iwas flatout all day!
