mondello track day today

fair play to that chap Dan , you had her sliding nicely in the rain

Big thanks To sean for asking me if I wanted to join him on the track, really enjoyed the day
Karma your way

Good day out and quite an ISDC mini-meet in the end, there must have been 12-15 members in total during the day. The chap in the black legacy was on a mission to destroy it after he ditched it, I've never seen anyone giving a car such stick before. And as for the vulture (rob4) circling wanting to strip it for parts :naughty:

Fair play to your mate Dan for giving you a lend of the car, and congrats on the arse-out action on Honda each time in that final session in the rain, you truely are a lunatic

Savage day, cant wait for the next one.... :653:

hope the lads from roscommen made it home.
il stick up a few pics in a while.

Savage day. We had a good few cars on track, and I was sharing the little yellow Seat with Enda. It was my first time on track in a few years, and my first time on the International Circuit, always too busy getting everyone else's car sorted.

Done a good few 2:13's in the Seat, which I was happy with for my first time. The Seat still has an open diff, so that's the next job to do. Enda, having a bit more experience of the track got it down to 2:08. Passed a good few cars, Impreza, Skyline, and a good few feck'n Civic's. The brakes on the Seat are savage, brilliant stopping power, and great feel, and no overheating, just ask Dan, Brian and Enda. I drove a few laps in the Time Attack Evo, unbelieveable, you don't have time to think between corners. The power and grip are unnatural, drive it on the throttle out of most corners.

Liam had a Fiat Coupe Turbo out for it's maiden voyage on Mondello, and had a great day. Brian who now runs Philip Burdocks car was flying all day. I had hoped he would break the 2 minute barrier, as this is his first time in the car, and a different beast than he had before. Second session, and he does a 1:57. That was brilliant.

Will have to get building my own car over the winter, but will struggle for time to do it.

John
