more bhp needed

right lads whats the best safest and cheapest way to get more bhp out of the series 1 legacy . its standard apart from a top mounted intercooler . don't know what bhp its putting out at the moment but at a guess between 170 and 190 . would around 250 or so be realistic without spending mega bucks .

td05 turbo, bigger injectors and uprated fuel pump....
have you a decat fitted joe?

I'd say mewage transplant but I think you'll probably say you've too many projects on the go already

Do what johnny says with a decat and 3 port boost solenoid

Legacy already has a 3 port boost solinoid.

A decat and run on e5

so a decat for starters . Theres no maxol station near but could get it most of the time . Would a uprated turbo be be a big improvement or not

Of course it would be.. altogether with some supported mods like injectors, decat.. it would make a difference.

Are you planning on mapping?

If so be:

16g side entry turbo from v2 sti
440cc injectors from v3/4 sti
Fuel pump
Panel filter
Decat
Map
