So from being a japfest with the boys im getting the mods started, need a map for irish muck fuel, but was thinking I want to change the airfilter. So I prob should do that before the map.

Anyone have one their not using or know where you get reasonable ones?

Or opinions on the best kind available?

No need man sound better but no need

Stock air box good to 400bhp

Keep the few euro stick it towards your new map session

I know its a lot for no reward, just looks cool and I was thinking if i could pick one up cheap it would be cool, im not buying €120 one off ebay or anything.

I have a 3 port boost solenoid and better fuel pump waiting to go in already, and have the money squirelled away for the map.

Just thought a little bit more turbo spool in my life might be worth a few bucks ha.

Sound advice there lots of fake rubbish out there

Id also add do research and buy a reputable known brand.

Yeah cheers lads, I do hate buying crap off eBay, il end up getting a panel filter for a tdi VAG shitbox or something haha.

Might wait to see if anyone on here knows of one knocking around rather than taking the risk.

Do you get much induction noise from it (I'm a child when it comes to these things the louder the better)

Abit but ull get much more from a "Pod" filter

Mighty car mods did a video on em a while back be worth the watch

Yeah i seem to remember them basically having the cone all the way out the front of the headlight and it still being worse than the stock filter ha!

what i mean is theres a load of hks, omp, deffi, bride all the usual fake stuff around
dont be caught with something like that so be careful
so buy from a reputable / dealer / agent
i have a hks intake kit on mine
my mapper wasnt a fan said they shorten the life of the maf (or something like that i was only half listening at the time)
i only bought it cost it looks cool
im sure id probably be better of removing it and going back to the cosworth panel filter i had before
but i like it and am not to concerned about it
but you are better of with a panel filter afaik and are quite a bot cheaper too

Stick on a front mount if you want more noise and leave the panel filter stock or have a look into a cold air intake which can be altered to come out near the front bumper. Both look much better than a mushroom filter imo.

Another thing not required unless ur going over 400 bhp

Sounds like ur mad to spend your money though ????

I was saying this to Tom yesterday, my list is getting wider as opposed to longer, just lots of stuff i want NOW but in reality i know what i have to do first.

Things i NEED

1 Map (would like to do it on a dyno, but may get it road mapped)
2 Paint (semi done)
3 bulbs (en route)
4 tyres (still grand but sooner rather than later)

Things i want

1 engine to sound cooler (more induction/spool/blow off flutter ect)
2 engine to look cooler (think toms the man for that)
3 trim pieces to look better (have clear indicators and side reflectors to go on)

Realistically Im not a rich man, and wont be pissing every penny i have into her, cause my misses will disown me but i dont mind getting her done nicely, and the way i like it.

As above re factory airbox is fine for power wise

Induction we supply RCM. We are Same price as RCM on all their range. €€ may fluctuate. €€ quotes stand for 30days.
