I wanted to get some decent mods without spending a ball of cash so on to the ad sites, and fleabay to see what I could get!

First off was to search for a new set of rims but was in no hurry as wasn't gonna put em on in the middle of that winter we were having! :shock2:

So I started with some suspesion mods - got some Whiteline goodies for **** all money so couldn't say no! - Anti Lift Kit, Uprated ARB and some Alloy Droplinks (£205 in total incl postage!)

Small bit of surface rust on the ARB but I wont be lookin at it!!

Whiteline Alloy Droplinks

Firstly I put in the ARB and the droplinks (Sat eve job!) took her for a spin to see if id notice much difference - was definitely tighter on the road but I thought I'd notice more!
On Sun I put in the Whiteline Anti Lift Kit (couple of hours work with all the spacers and all) - Took her out for a spin and OMG, I thought I was in another car - Huge difference - there was almost no lift under hard acceleration and much more control in the steering, The car felt much better and more solid while cornering hard! Well impressed! In my opinion one of the best suspension mods u could do! :multijump:

That was the front almost sorted - (waiting on a Front strut brace)
For the Rear - a Whiteline rear ARB and rear Alloy Droplinks! - TBC another day!

After another month or so I was getting badly in need of a new set of rubber so started properly looking for a set of 18" alloys in Gunmetal - After a week or two I settled on a set of 18" Inovit Torques and some Vredstein Sessantas 225/40/18 to go with them!

Got a good deal on the Vredsteins - £430 incl delivery to ROI - Happy days!

Then it was off to HT Autos for a front splitter and some back spats - i always thought they looked good on a blob!

I also got a set of Prodrive lowering springs and had planned on puttin em in before the wheels went on but half way through fitting I noticed that the rear springs were different - The springs were from an 05 WRX and I found out the hard way that they wouldnt fit an 05 STI! . . sickened.com :angry1:
Anyway . . . now on the look out for a set that will fit! . . Ah well . .Ya live and learn!

Next step was to head over to Westside Autocare in kilcock for a fast road set up - They were Recommended by Martin Tracy - Car was handeling even better now! . . . well impressed!

Some Pics after a bit of a clean!

Nxt Step is to fit a set of Prodrive PU rally mudflaps that Ive jst got along with changing all the decals to graphite!
Then a set of prodrive lowering springs and a de-tango to finish it off!

Of course then the big stuff
- Full straight through exhaust
- 3 port Boost guage
- Walbro Pump
- Remap with JGM or Bob Rawle

I will get some more pics up when its all done!

All comments / advice / questions welcome!

Amazing what a splitter and some new wheels will do. It looks great. You have some good plans there too

a lad on here has the prodrive sprngs for the 05 wrx for sale - cant find the link. maybe someone else can link it!

Rims look spot on  Defo makes you mad when things don't fit, but will look far better when the spring kits fitted

P.S great colour that :icon_biggrin:

How much did the fast road set up cost with those lads?

Very very nice by the way.

Only thing I'm not a fan of is the rear spats but everyone to their own.

lovely car mate and nice mods!!!
have a set of prodrive lowering springs in my car bout 3 months if you fancy them as i'm changing very soon!!!

Cheers for all the nice comments guys! Still a good bit to do yet tho!!

Re Aaron: WRX springs wont fit mate!

Re Eric: Fast road set up was 70 quid, bargained him down a bit! :) - I dont have adjustable top mounts but they still done a fairly good job!

Re Markobucko: Yea, deff interested mate, are they the 25mm drop ones? Im lookin to get some ASAP tho! . . Ya goin for coilovers????

Anyway, I'll keep this thread updated with any extra mods!! :multijump:
